Spray Foam Insulation Removal From Roof & Lofts
Careful, safe removal of open- and closed-cell spray foam, with a timber condition report and photographic evidence for lenders and surveyors.
Why can spray foam be a problem?
Spray foam applied to the underside of a roof can cause difficulties for homeowners, buyers and landlords:
Mortgages and sales – some mortgage lenders and surveyors may decline or down-value properties with spray foam in the roof.
Trapped moisture – in some roofs it can restrict ventilation and trap moisture, which may lead to condensation and timber decay.
Hidden roof condition – foam covers rafters, felt and tiles, so the condition of the roof cannot be properly inspected.
