Rising Damp Treatment with injection damp proof course (DPC)
Professional damp surveys, chemical DPC injection and replastering for homes, landlords and housing associations across Yorkshire and the Humber.
What is Rising Damp?
Rising damp happens when ground moisture is drawn up through brick and mortar by capillary action, usually because the original damp proof course has failed, been bridged or was never fitted. Left untreated it damages plaster, decorations and timber, and makes homes cold and unhealthy.
Common Signs
-
Tide marks on walls, typically up to around 1 metre
-
White salt deposits (efflorescence) on plaster
-
Peeling paint and blown or crumbling plaster
-
Damp, stained or rotting skirting boards
-
A musty smell in the room
